After posting a blog on Aelita Andre, I wanted to look up a few more child prodigies who are artists because I think it's so interesting how young they are discovered and how much money their work is selling for.
Autumn de Forest is an 11 year old professional artist who has been painting for almost all of her life. Her work has been purchased by art collectors from all around the world. She was discovered by the Discovery Channel when they had her in an episode about child prodigies.
In the video above, Autumn speaks about how and why she created her piece, "Crayola," which she compares to Andy Warhol's painting featuring Campbell Soup labels.
The photo to the left was done by Andy Warhol, and the photo on the right was done by Autumn. I think her style is a lot like his.
This piece above she created out of acrylic paints to show her love for her American Girl Doll. Her painting was actually featured in the American Girl Doll magazine as well.
